SECOND PAPER

Subject:                     # 14214 Narrativa Inglesa desde el siglo XVIII Grupo  B

Student´s nameCacho González, Agustín

Title of the paper: Brutal Myths

Author or topic:     Sonya Rapoport & Marie-José Sat

Abstract:                    Brutal Myths is the purpose of these authors to analyze how women have been devalued since the beginning of the human being and showing the contradictions of the Bible because some passages condemned women while others defend her. Pope Inocence VIII spoke about the use of herbs (what the authors have called The Garden of Herbal Evil) by women to destroy men’s mind (there we find myths), so Sonya and Marie make also a list with healing herbs also used by women (according to the text, these herbs belong to Planting the Blessed Herb).

Title of the paper: The Scars of Frankenstein

Author or topic:     Mary Shelley

Abstract:                    Why was the Creature so ugly? Why was it created by parts  of different bodies? Is there any hide intention behind these   questions, or Mary Shelley simply wrote it just like that? To achieve the answers I’m going to cross time to see the Context in which Mary Shelley lived.

Along this essay you will find links to guide you to different clues to resolve the aspects named before; these are her mother, science, or biography. In the work there’s also an Introduction and a Conclusion where I give my opinion and impressions about the theme I ‘m introducing.
